Week 12 preview Patriots Vs. Bengals

The New England Patriots are currently riding an eight game win streak heading into Week 12. New England is 9-2 meanwhile their opponent the Cincinnati Bengals are 3-7 and are trending in the opposite direction. For the Bengals, QB Joe Burrow will be out another week as he recovers from his turf toe injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. The Bengals will once again start Joe Flacco in his place. As for the Patriots, they are looking to get to ten wins in 2025 for the first time since 2021. Mike Vrabel and the Patriots have been one of the NFL’s best teams a majority of the season and will look to continue their success Sunday afternoon.

Road Warriors

New England is currently undefeated on the road in 2025 with a 5-0 record. That is great for this current team that has had a lot of turnover since last season with the former head coach Jerod Mayo tenure. The Patriots will look to get their sixth victory away from Gillette Stadium on the road in Cincinnati.

Rhamondre Stevenson is questionable

Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson was limited early in the way at practice but was a full participant in Friday’s session. Stevenson has missed the past two games due to a toe injury. It has been an up and down season for Stevenson with early fumbling issues, but prior to the injury he embraced the role as their lead running back. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson has emerged in Stevenson’s absence by scoring five total touchdowns the past two weeks between the Jets matchup and the Buccaneers. Henderson joined former Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski as the only two players in franchise history to have three touchdowns in one single game.

Outlook for the Patriots this week

Without Bengals star receiver Ja’Marr Chase and defensive end Trey Hendrickson both being out, and with Chase suspended and fined for his actions last week at Pittsburgh, the Patriots remain with the slight edge over Cincinnati this week. New England has been clicking on all cylinders on both sides of the football and will look to continue this week. Look for the Patriots to improve to 10-2 on the season heading into a matchup with the New York Giants on Monday Night Football on December first.
