Patriots injury report: 5 starters listed as limited

It’s that time of year again. The New England Patriots have released their first injury and practice participation report of the season.
Over the summer, their have been doubts that the Patriots will have a healthy offensive line to start the season. The injury report confirmed those doubts; three OL starters were listed as partial participants.
Although the Patriots saw perfect attendance at Wednesday’s practice, five players practiced as limited participants. The full injury report is listed below.
Limited participation
Patriots
WR DeVante Parker (knee)
OT Trent Brown (illness)
G Mike Onwenu (ankle)
G Cole Strange (knee)
CB Jack Jones (hamstring)
Eagles
CB Josh Jobe (illness)
The first thing that stands out is three offensive line starters were limited. With Trent Brown dealing with an illness, Mike Onwenu (ankle), and Cole Strange (knee), the Patriots may be in serious trouble on Sunday. The Eagles’ pass rush is dominant, and the Patriots must be strong. Strange has missed a majority of camp with a leg injury. Additionally, Mike Onwenu spent time on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list before being activated a couple of weeks ago.
Meanwhile, wide receiver DeVante Parker could be doubtful to suit up Sunday as the wideout is dealing with a knee injury. Finally, one defender was placed on the limited list, with Jack Jones having a hamstring injury.
On the other hand, the Eagles had a clean injury report besides cornerback Josh Jobe, who was limited Wednesday due to an illness.
The Patriots will start their season late Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 at Gillette Stadium.
