Source: Patriots Signing Former Player to Practice Squad

A former player is reuniting with the New England Patriots.

The Patriots are signing DT Jeremiah Pharms Jr. to the practice squad, a source tells The Patriots Beat.

The Patriots released Pharms two days ago, but after clearing waivers, he is returning to the team. Pharms recently signed a two-year extension with the Patriots during the 2025 offseason. The 6-foot-2, 300-pounder recorded 33 tackles, 2 sacks, and five quarterback hits in five starts during the 2024 season.

After going undrafted in 2019, Pharms played with the Wichita Force in the Champions Indoor Football League. Following that stint, the Pittsburgh Maulers selected him in the USFL Draft. After his USFL season, the Patriots and Pharms signed a deal in the summer of 2022.

He joins David Olajiga as the only other defensive tackle on the practice squad. There is strong expectation that the Patriots will elevate Pharms to the active roster in the coming weeks.
