Week 14 of the NFL has been quite exciting so far, and it continues tonight when the six-win Chargers and eight-win Dolphins face off. The Patriots’ playoff chances increased when the Bills defeated the Jets by 20-12. If the Patriots beat Arizona Monday night, they will take over the seventh spot in the playoff bracket.
Who should Patriots fans be rooting for in this matchup? Let’s find out.
Miami Dolphins (8-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (6-6):
Justin Herbert and the Chargers try to get above .500 as they take Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins. This is a tricky game to root for, as the Patriots could benefit from both teams losing, and obviously, that’s not possible. It is shaping to be one wildcard spot for the Jets, Chargers, or Patriots. The Patriots will own the tiebreaker over both teams as they beat the Jets twice and will own the better conference record over the Chargers. Go, Dolphins!
The Chargers and Dolphins will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will air on NBC with Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth in the booth and Melissa Stark on the sidelines. Miami is favored by 3.5 points, per Fanduel.
