The Patriots will kick off in Glendale, Arizona, at 8:20 p.m. ET, as they play their final primetime game of the season. However, they will be without multiple starters. Their full list of inactives is below.
Running back Damien Harris was seen pregame testing his hamstring but has been ruled OUT. Earlier in the week, the Patriots ruled out receiver Jakboi Meyers (concussion), OT Isaiah Wynn (foot), and cornerback Jalen Mills (groin). Along with Damien Harris, the Patriots ruled out S Joshuah Bledsoe, LB Cameron McGrone, and DT Sam Roberts. McGrone was slated to make his NFL debut after being elevated from the practice squad earlier in the day. However, after the Patriots announced him as inactive, his debut will have to be postponed.
Although, the Patriots will be getting back their starting offensive lineman as Trent Brown (illness) and Yodny Cajuste (calf/back) will be active after being listed as questionable.
For the fourth time this season, the Patriots’ backfield will only consist of Rhamondre Stevenson. With Harris out, Stevenson should see a lot of snaps and playing time. Although the Patriots have two rookie running backs on their roster, they only have a mere combined 17 yards on 16 carries.
Wideout Jakboki Meyers will miss his third game of the year as he is in concussion protocol due to a late hit he suffered in the fourth quarter against the Bills. Meyers has been New England’s number one receiver, and their receiver depth will be tested Monday Night. Veteran DeVante Parker should be the number-one target, and when Mac and Parker are on the same page, it often leads to good results. Tonight’s game could see Tyquan Thornton showcase his speed against a defense that plays a lot of man coverage.
Cornerback Jalen Mills was ruled out earlier in the week as he is dealing with a groin injury that caused him to sit out against Buffalo. However, per NFL Insider Jordan Shultz, Mills is expected to play in Las Vegas next weekend. The Patriots’ secondary will be tested again as they face a down-field threat in Deandre Hopkins.
Defensive tackle Sam Roberts and safety Joshuah Bledsoe will round out the inactive list as healthy scratches.
The Cardinals’ inactives are below.
WR Rondale Moore (groin)
CB Byron Murphy (back)
QB Trace McSorley
S Charles Washington (chest)
LB Jesse Luketa
OL Rashaad Coward (chest)
WR Rondale Moore and cornerback Byron Murphey were ruled out earlier in the week. So the rest of the Cardinal’s inactives shouldn’t come as a surprise.
