On Tuesday afternoon, the Patriots announced they are signing 11 practice squad players to future contracts. The Patriots struck a deal with the following players:
LB Terez Hall
DB Brad Hawkins
OL Hayden Howerton
DB Quandre Mosely
LB Calvin Munson
WR Tre Nixon
DL Jeremiah Pharms Jr.
DL Labryan Ray
RB J.J. Taylor
TE Scotty Washington
Five of the 11 players made a gameday appearance, with Brad Hawkings, Quandre Mosley, Calvin Munson, Matt Sokol, J.J. Taylor, and Scotty Washington contributing on gameday. Labryan Ray showed out in training camp, but an injury kept him from playing this season. Although Tre Nixon had a standout summer, he earned zero roster elevations. While most are rookies, there are some notable veterans. J.J. Taylor and Terez Hall have played three seasons in the NFL, while Calvin Munson has played 43 games in his career.
The Patriots did not retain a handful of players, including kicker Tristan Vizcaino, offensive lineman Bill Muray, linebacker Jamie Collins, wide receiver Lynn Bowden and quarterback Garrett Gilbert.
