The Patriots made 26 roster moves yesterday. Next on the schedule is setting the practice squad. The following players have reportedly been chosen for the practice squad:

LB Cameron McGrone

McGrone tore his ACL last season and has had a slow start to summer. Many Patriots fans had high hopes, but he did not live up to expectations. Nevertheless, he will continue to develop on the practice squad.

OL Bill Murray

Bill Murray ends up on the practice squad for the third straight year. Murray transitioned to guard over the summer after making the practice squad last season as a defensive lineman. Murray adds depth to the O-line and shows promise in protecting Mac Jones.

DT Jeremiah Pharms Jr.

Pharms had an excellent performance in Vegas, including three-run stuffs and a couple of pressures on the quarterback. He is the only defensive lineman on the practice squad.

WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey

Humphrey was a preseason standout for the Patriots. He led the Patriots in receptions and yards through the preseason. When the Patriots announced Humphrey would be waived, the expectation was he would get signed to another team. That was not the case; Humphrey will remain in New England on the practice squad.

TE Jalen Wydermyer

The undrafted free agent signed with Buffalo earlier in the summer but got waived a month

ago. He joined the Patriots and made quite an impression.

OL Kody Russey

Russey has done nothing but improve with New England this summer and has earned a roster spot. Kody will look to compete this fall and get elevated to the active roster.

LB Harvey Langi

The veteran Harvey Langi is a versatile defensive player who mainly plays on special teams. However, during the preseason, he seemed slow and out of place during many plays. Although he adds special teams value, the practice squad is the right place for Langi.

CB Terrance Mitchell

The Patriots signed Mitchell to a one-year contract this off-season and at the time seemed like a good move. However, Mitchell has lost reps over time in camp to Jonathon Jones. New England is putting a lot of trust into young cornerbacks and if one of them gets booted, look for Mitchell to replace them.

RB J.J. Taylor

One of the most surprising cuts was J.J Taylor. The third-year back seemed like he was going to make the team when it was reported Kevin Harris was cut. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and the Patriots waived Taylor. Although Taylor had a good summer, it was not enough to compete with Pierre Strong Jr.’s fourth-round pick.

RB Kevin Harris

Although Harris impressed in the preseason and led the team in rushing yards, he cannot squeeze into the roster. However, the rookie back will look to further develop on the practice squad. With Ty Montgomery missing time, it may add a roster spot for Harris.

WR Tre Nixon

Nixon stood out in OTA’s in the spring but has since decreased his production. If Nixon can fix his drops, look for him to add value on the offense later in the year if injuries become a problem in Foxborough.

TE Matt Sokol

The Patriots claimed Sokol from the Lions this summer, and Sokol made the most out of his opportunities. As a result, the Patriots will keep two tight ends on their practice squad.

S Brad Hawking

The Mitchgain standout Brad Hawkings came for a tryout this summer. The next day New England signed him, and he has since made a name for himself. Despite having five safeties on the active roster, the Patriots decided to keep Hawking.

OL James Ferentz

Ferentz is a versatile veteran the Patriots like as a backup to David Andrews. He is reliable and can be elevated on a week-to-week basis.
