There will be no Patriots reunion for the seven-time super bowl champion Tom Brady as he announces his retirement from the NFL.
Brady posted a video on Instagram, announcing he is hanging his cleats up and retiring “for good.”
Tom Brady announced the following “Good morning, guys, I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring for good,” “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. So I won’t be long-winded. I think you only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year. So, really, thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you, for supporting me. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever. There are too many. Thank you, guys, for letting me live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.”
Brady won seven Super Bowls in the NFL and owns many NFL records, including most wins, passes, completions, yards, and touchdowns. In addition, Brady is the only player with five Super Bowl MVPs and nine AFC championship wins.
During his time with the Patriots, Brady threw for 74,571 yards, 541 touchdowns against 179 interceptions. However, Brady left the Patriots during free agency in 2020 and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his first year with the team, Brady led the Bucs to a Super Bowl victory and shocked the world.
