Week 1: Patriots at Dolphins
The Patriots and the Dolphins will open up against each other for the third straight season. Miami has gone all in this offseason, acquiring players like Terron Armstead, Melvin Gordon, Chase Edmonds, and trading for Tyreek Hill. The Dolphins are giving Tua all of the players he needs to strive. Last season the Dolphins swept the Patriots for the first time in over 20 years. The Patriots also tend to start slow, so I am giving a loss in Miami to the Patriots to start the season.
Prediction: 23-17
Record: 0-1
Week 2: Patriots at Steelers
The Patriots second game of the season will be the home opener of the newly branded stadium Acrisure Stadium. The starting quarterback job in Pittsburgh is up for grabs between Mitch Tribusky and recently drafted Kenny Pickett. Pickett should have the upper hand, and that is excellent news for the Patriots, who feasts on rookie quarterbacks. I look for the Patriots to bounce back with a low-scoring win.
Prediction: 14-10
Record: 1-1
Week 3: Patriots vs. Ravens
The Patriots home opener has arrived late this year, already week 3. Last year the Ravens were hit plenty hard with injuries, and with Lamar Jackson back; that’s terrible news for the Patriots. This will be a real test for the young and inexperienced defense. A big goal for New England was to get faster, and the ravens will test just that. Lamar runs all over the defense in a grueling loss.
Prediction: 35-24
Record: 1-2
Week 4: Patriots at Packers
This should be a fascinating game as the Patriots rarely play in Lambeau for the first time since 2014. The Packers lost Davate Adams this offseason, and they went from a top contender to maybe not even making the playoffs. However, Aaron Rodgers is still one of the most valuable quarterbacks, winning the last 2 MVP’s and he will carry the Packers to a win.
Prediction: 27-20
Record: 1-3
Week 5: Patriots vs. Lions
After back-to-back challenging games, the Patriots look to straighten things out in Gillette when they face the Lions. Although the lions look like a box-in win for the Patriots, they should not be taken lightly. They were in most games last year till the final whistle, although their record does not show it. Nevertheless, the Patriots are looking for a big win, and they get it.
Prediction: 34-17
Record: 2-3
Week 6: Patriots at Browns
Jacoby Brissett will get the nod for the Browns in this critical week six matchup. The Patriots stomped on the Browns last season 47-7, with Mac Jones throwing for 300+ yards and three touchdowns. The Patriots return to 500 with a game where the passing game excels.
Prediction: 24-17
Record: 3-3
Week 7: Patriots vs. Bears
It’s time for Monday Night Football! It will be the first matchup for Mac Jones and Justin Fields, who took just six picks apart. It could also be time for a N’keal Harry revenge game. Harry, who was traded to Chicago this offseason. With all the lights on this game, Mac Jones dominates Chicago’s defense and throws for 400 yards for the first time in his career.
Prediction: 35-14
Record: 4-3
Week 8: Patriots at Jets
Some may argue that the Jets had the best draft because they drafted star cornerback Ahamad “Sauce” Gardner, receiver Garret Wilson Edge Jermaine Johnson, and halfback Breece Hall. Zach Willson’s debut in New England went pretty poorly for the rookie. The Jets will try to make strides this year and finally beat New England, but it doesn’t happen this week as the Patriots win.
Prediction: 27-14
Record: 5-3
Week 9: Patriots vs. Colts
The Colts snapped the Patriots’ nine-game win streak last season and humiliated the Patriots on Saturday night football. This year they improved, adding veteran Quarterback Matt Ryan, an upgrade from Carson Wentz. The New England run defense was bottom tier last season, and with Jonathon Taylor coming to Gillette, he should have a huge game. However, the Patriots find a way to get it done on a final second field goal, with a huge win into the bye week.
Prediction: 30-27
Record: 6-3
Week 10: BYE
Week 11: Patriots vs. Jets
The Patriots head to New York after their bye week, trying to extend their win streak to 5 games. The Patriots, who are well rested and motivated, dominate the Jets with their first 40+ point game from the offense.
Prediction: 41-14
Record: 7-3
Week 12: Patriots at Vikings
The Patriots will play on Thanksgiving for the first time since __. They were given the Finale on Thanksgiving day in Minstosta. The Vikings, seen as very underrated, will give the Patriots a challenging game. Cousins, who struggle in the game under the lights, will throw two picks and the Patriots pull away with a win.
Prediction: 24-21
Record: 8-3
Week 13: Patriots vs. Bills
The Patriots will play back-to-back Thursday night games, this time against division rival the Buffalo Bills. For the first matchup of the season, all eyes are on watching how the Patriots will improve from their disastrous performance against the Bills last time they met. Unfortunately, the Patriot’s win streak ends as Mac Jones can’t keep up with Josh Allen.
Prediction: 36-24
Record: 8-4
Week 14: Patriots at Cardinals
The Cardinals, who improved their team this offseason, will host the well-rested Patriots coming off a long week. The Cardinals are too overpowered and win big against the Patriots.
Prediction: 27-16
Record: 8-5
Week 15: Patriots at Raiders
Patriots fans will have this game marked on their calendars, as the Patriots will visit Vegas and Josh Mcdaniels. Mcdaniels, who has been with the Patriots since ___, will look to get his revenge. The Raiders acquired Patriots players Brandon Bolden and Jakob Johnson over the off-season. However, the Patriots get the best of the Raiders in the highly anticipated matchup, ending in an overtime game-winning touchdown.
Prediction: 36-30
Record: 9-5
Week 16: Patriots vs. Bengals
The Bengals come to Foxbouruh on Christmas Eve on Saturday Night to face the Patriots, who just finished four prime-time games in a row. The Patriots are tired, and it shows as the Bengals roll right past the Patriots.
Prediction: 26-9
Record: 9-6
Week 17: Patriots vs. Dolphins
The Patriots, Miami, end of the season is a recipe for disaster. The track record isn’t excellent for the Patriots when they place the Dolphins late in the season. But, this time in Gillette, it’s different as the Patriots playoff hopes are on the line in a must-win game for both teams. The Patriots come up on top with a huge win.
Prediction: 28-27
Record: 10-6
Week 18: Patriots at Bills
In the last regular season game, the Patriots will look to secure their Playoff spot, and with the Bills resting their starters, it is quite doable. The Patriots go all out in a big performance from the defense. Ultimately, the Patriots end the season with a win.
Prediction: 21-24
Record: 10-7
The Patriots will finish the season with ten wins, but playoffs are up in the air. The hope is to squeeze into a roster spot.
