North Dakota State OT Grey Zabel
Grey Zabel has been the most consistent lineman in Mobile this week. His versatility showed up at the Senior Bowl and could be implemented into any offensive system. Coming from North Dakota State, Zabel faced his toughest test going against a Power 5 lineman, but he held his own. As I mentioned above, one of his more impressive characteristics is his ability to play anywhere on the line. That’s appealing to a lot of NFL decision-makers. Zabel showcases above-average athleticism and can pull from the tackle or guard position. As an FCS offensive lineman, he significantly improved his draft stock this week.
Florida State CB Azareye’h Thomas
The 6’2, 198-pounder has been turning heads all week at the Senior Bowl, catching the eye of several scouts. He has the ideal frame and great body control for his size. This week, he played physical and dominated one-on-one matchups against opposing receivers.
LSU TE Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor looked fantastic all week and that’s an understatement. The LSU tight end barely dropped anything thrown his way. His father, Jason Taylor, is a Pro Football Hall of Famer and played primary for the Miami Dolphins. Taylor can align anywhere including in the backfield but excels most as a route runner. But it’s what he does after the catch that makes Taylor so appealing. His ability to create extra yards after the catch by breaking tackles is second to none.
Texas A&M DL Shemar Stewart
Stewart was a former five-star recruit who spent his entire college career at Texas A&M. After the three practices in Mobile, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that he “stamped himself as the best player” at the Senior Bowl. Although he didn’t put up jaw-dropping stats last year with the Aggies, he showed he can still produce against top-tier talent.
Miami TE Elijah Arroyo
Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo is leaving the Senior Bowl with a much higher draft stock. After his breakout season at Miami, he had already caught the eye of some, but after a great week of practice, he cemented himself as one of the top tight ends in this class. He was a former two-sport athlete in high school and ran track for all four years. He only has one drop in his entire college career and flashes his speed constantly. Arroyo should be a Day 2 lock.
